Dear Supporters,

It is with a great disappointment that we must cancel (for the first time in our 28 years history) the Galiano Wine, Cider and Beer Tasting Festival which was planned for August 8th this year. We were advised by the Health Authority to proceed with this decision as no one knows yet when the Covid-19 situation will be behind us. We wish to keep everyone safe, vendors, tickets holders and Galiano residents alike.

We thank you for your constant support over the years and we wish you all well and we look forward to holding our next festival with you on board in 2021.

Stay safe, healthy and prosperous!

Sylvie Beauregard

On behalf of the Galiano Wine, Cider and Beer Tasting Festival Board members and the Galiano Health Care Society

Venue: Lion's Field on Burrill Rd, right next to the Galiano Health Clinic

It is a fun event for a worthwhile cause - to raise money to cover operating costs of the Galiano Health Clinic. The festival takes place at the Lions Field, which is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the ferry and Sturdies Bay village.

Informal, fun and relaxing, the wine and beer tasting festival is an open air event that is a wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon with old and new friends. The price of the entrance fee includes unlimited tasting, a crested crystal wine glass, fresh-made finger food, a silent auction and entertainment.

We will have some Galiano musicians playing to accompany our friendly conversation. There is plenty of room to move around and lots of cool places to relax. You’ll have plenty of time to talk with the wine and beer merchants and makers, and no long wait for wine and beer you wish to taste.

The Galiano Island Bookstore booth provides an opportunity to browse for wine and food related books at your leisure. This year a variety of local artists will show and sell their original artwork. Galiano Coffee will be there again with their fabulous locally roasted beans.

All wine and beer offered for sampling are affordable, including many wonderful British Columbia boutique wines found at the Galiano Garage and the Corner Store both near the ferry terminal.

A friendly reminder: No minors (infants or children/youth under 19 included) and no pets. PLEASE do not bring your pets and leave them unattended in vehicles or tied up.

We are also thrilled to once again have a Pop Up Beer and Wine Shop on site hosted by the fine folks at Metro Specialty Liquor Stores! Taste, love, purchase!

This bus is free, but donations are very much appreciated!
